The main reason behind this decline in inactivity in the Republic has been the rising female participation in the labour market.

A police sergeant, who was also referred to the CPS, will not face charges, the IOPC said.A spokesperson for Mountain Healthcare sent its "deepest condolences" to Mr Cameron's family.
It added: "We cannot comment on the case given the ongoing legal proceedings.
"However, we can confirm that Mr Cregg has not worked in any of our services since the time of the incident in 2020 and is not employed by us in any capacity."We recognise the strength of feeling around what has happened and would continue to ask people to avoid speculation both online and in the community which could jeopardise the ongoing proceedings," she said.
The force has asked anyone with information about the case to come forward.Archie York died in the explosion, which ripped through the building at about 00:45 BST.
